1.Introduction

LeadScout is a Chrome extension for lead generation on many websites. It highlights tech stacks, rates, contacts, and flags as you browse. This policy explains what data we collect and how we handle it.

3.Data We Collect

LeadScout stores your configuration settings in Chrome's built-in storage.sync API. This includes: your name, email, phone number, location, timezone, hourly rate, tech stack preferences, position title, dev start year, GitHub URL, Calendly URL, and extension toggles. These settings are used to personalize outreach templates and filtering behavior.

4.Data We Do Not Collect

LeadScout does NOT collect: browsing history, page content, LinkedIn data, search queries, messages, profile information of people you view, analytics on your browsing activity, usage statistics, crash reports, or any telemetry. The extension makes zero network requests to external servers.

5.How Your Data Is Stored

All settings are stored locally using Chrome's storage.sync API. If you are signed in to Chrome, these settings sync across your Chrome instances through Google's infrastructure. LeadScout does not operate any servers or databases.

6.Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to anyone. No third parties, no analytics services, no advertising networks, no cloud processing services. Period.

7.Cookies & Tracking

The LeadScout extension uses no cookies and no tracking mechanisms. The website (nextgenleadscout.io) uses Google Analytics for aggregate traffic analysis only.

8.Your Rights

You can export all your settings as a JSON file using the extension's Tools tab. You can delete all settings by removing the extension from Chrome. You can modify any setting at any time through the extension popup.

9.Children's Privacy

LeadScout is not intended for users under 16 years of age.

10.Security

LeadScout is built on Chrome's Manifest platform with Content Security Policy enforcement and Trusted Types policy for safety and security. The extension requests only the minimum required permissions.

11.Changes to This Policy

I may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
